What's new in Substrate
The latest features, improvements, and fixes shipped to the Substrate platform. We release updates regularly to help you manage infrastructure more effectively.
Workloads Tab
A new unified workloads view for cluster management. See all deployments, stateful sets, daemon sets, and jobs in a single, filterable table. Includes real-time status indicators, quick-action menus for scaling and restarting, and namespace-level grouping.
- Unified view across all workload types
- Real-time pod status with WebSocket updates
- Inline scaling and restart actions
- Namespace and label filtering
Deployment Templates
Reusable infrastructure templates with variable substitution are now generally available. Create templates at the organization or project level, define variables with defaults, and deploy consistent configurations across clusters with a single click.
- Organization and project-scoped templates
- Variable substitution with default values
- Template versioning and rollback
- One-click deployment from the dashboard
AI Autoscaler
Intelligent autoscaling with approval workflows is now available for all clusters. The autoscaler analyzes CPU and memory utilization patterns over configurable time windows and generates rightsizing recommendations with estimated cost savings.
- ML-based utilization pattern analysis
- Configurable analysis windows (1d, 7d, 30d)
- Approval workflow for scaling actions
- Estimated monthly savings per recommendation
Multi-Cloud Cost Engine
Provider-specific cost calculation for EKS, AKS, and GKE has been completely rebuilt. The new engine accounts for compute, storage, network egress, management fees, and provider-specific discounts to deliver accurate, real-time cost breakdowns per cluster, namespace, and deployment.
- Provider-specific pricing models for AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Real-time cost tracking with hourly granularity
- Namespace-level cost attribution
- Historical cost trending and projections
Audit Trail
Comprehensive action logging with search and filtering is now available for all organizations. Every API call, dashboard action, and system event is recorded with actor, timestamp, IP address, and affected resource for complete compliance visibility.
- Full audit logging for every action
- Search by actor, action, resource, or date range
- Organization and project-level filtering
- One-click CSV export for compliance reporting
